PENTECOST ~ FEAST OF WEEKS
FEAST OF WEEKS or PENTECOST is one of the three pilgrim feasts that the Lord required all men to come to Jerusalem. This feast commemorates when Moses went up to Mt. Sinai and received the Torah, or the instruction, from Jehovah. It also coincides when Jesus was resurrected and appeared to the disciples and told them to go into Jerusalem and wait until the Father would send the Comforter. Acts chapter 2 tells us there were 120 in an upper room in one mind and one accord when the Comforter arrived and established the church.
The Lord said these were HIS Feasts: Passover, Pentecost and Tabernacles. He said we should observe these moedim, appointed times, throughout all generations. These are the times when we bring special offerings to the storehouse and not approach God empty handed. You should seek the Lord for the amount HE puts upon your heart to give.
Write the word "FIRE" on your envelope or in the memo on your check. If you come to LSCC service May 31 or June 7 you may present it to the Lord then. You can also mail it to:

The Chosen Stone and His Chosen People
4 Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious, 5 you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 6 Therefore it is also contained in the Scripture, “Behold, I lay in Zion A chief cornerstone, elect, precious,
And he who believes on Him will by no means be put to shame.” ~ 1 Peter 2:4-6 (NKJV)
